In fact we have had close to 7,000. employees and union members complete the program.

Because of the feedback we receive we have learned a great deal about our participants and have accumulated quite a volume of stories and anecdotes.

Here is one about an engineer who on the first day of his retirement was sitting at his kitchen table with a cup of coffee watching his partner go about her daily routine. On the second day he again sat at the kitchen table with his coffee but now he had a sketch pad. As she went about her chores he began making notes and drawing diagrams. On the third day he presented her with a work flow chart to help her work more efficiently. To say she wasn’t pleased was an understatement. A fear that many couples have is that they will wind up spending too much time together in retirement. The solution is that they need three lives. She needs her own time to do what she wants and he needs the time to do what he wants and then they need their time together. Really no different than when they were in their jobs or careers.
